Everyone has the right to live free of violence. The Family Violence Prevention Fund (FVPF) is an international nonprofit organization whose mission is to end violence against women, children and families. FVPF works to prevent violence within the home and in the community to help those whose lives are affected — and in many cases, devastated — by violence and abuse. FVPF also has a long history of building attitude- and behavior-changing campaigns. With each new campaign partner, FVPF's ability to address the growing need for creative solutions to stop relationship abuse and engage new allies in this effort becomes stronger. In its mission to create new leadership that works to prevent violence, FVPF has partnered with teachers to create Lessons from Literature. This program highlights the crucial role teachers play in young people’s development and equips teachers to help students grow up to live safe and healthy lives.
